Description
Juicy, tender steak bites simmered in rich garlic butter and slow-cooked to perfection. A one-pot comfort food classic that’s easy, flavorful, and family-friendly.
Ingredients
2 lbs chuck roast or sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
5 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ cup beef broth (optional)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
Optional add-ins: sliced mushrooms, diced onions, red pepper flakes
Optional garnish: fresh parsley
Instructions
(Optional) In a hot skillet, sear steak bites in 1 tbsp butter for 1–2 minutes per side until browned.
Transfer steak to crock pot. Add salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and optional veggies.
In a saucepan or microwave-safe bowl, melt butter. Stir in minced garlic and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over steak.
Cover and cook: 4–6 hours on LOW or 2.5–3 hours on HIGH.
Stir halfway through cooking, if possible.
Garnish with parsley before serving. Serve hot with your choice of side.
Notes
Use sirloin for a leaner option, or chuck roast for more marbling and tenderness.
Avoid lifting the lid during cooking—this affects temperature and cook time.
Add broth if your crock pot tends to run hot or you notice the sauce reducing too much.
Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days (fridge) or 3 months (freezer).
