Delicious Earl Grey Cookies infused with the distinct taste of earl grey tea, perfect for afternoon tea or as a sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups All-purpose flour
2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves (dried)
1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
3/4 cup Granulated sugar
1/4 cup Brown sugar
1 large Egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/4 teaspoon Salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. In a small bowl, combine the earl grey tea leaves with the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set it aside
  3. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until creamy
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture. Mix until well combined
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until the dough is well mixed and slightly sticky
  6. Using a tablespoon, scoop dough and roll it into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced about 2 inches apart
  7. Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golde
  8. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely

Notes

For a stronger earl grey flavor, steep tea leaves in melted butter for about 20 minutes before mixing.

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
