Ingredients
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (with the “mother”)
½ lemon, freshly squeezed
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger (or ½ tsp ground ginger)
¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cup brewed green tea (cooled) or 1 teaspoon matcha whisked in water
½ to 1 cup filtered water
Optional: ½ teaspoon raw honey or a few drops of stevia
Instructions
Brew green tea and let it cool, or whisk matcha in warm water.
In a large glass or shaker, combine lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, ginger, and cayenne.
Add the brewed tea and filtered water. Stir or shake well.
Sweeten with honey or stevia if desired.
Serve immediately over ice, or store in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Shake before drinking.
Notes
Best consumed on an empty stomach in the morning or 30 minutes before meals.
Use a straw to protect your teeth from the acidity.
Not recommended for individuals with acid reflux or ulcers without medical approval.
Start with 1 serving per day; increase to 2 servings if well-tolerated.
