This recipe transforms the popular Costco Dubai chocolate bars into a rich, creamy, and decadent homemade ice cream. It's surprisingly simple to make, yet delivers a gourmet taste with delightful crispy and chocolatey textures, perfect for a memorable family treat.

Ingredients

Scale

2 cups Heavy Cream (cold)
1 cup Whole Milk (cold)
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1/4 teaspoon Salt
3 bars Costco Dubai Chocolate Bars (approx. 180g total), chopped
2 tablespoons Melted Chocolate (optional, for swirl)

Instructions

  1. Unwrap and chop 3 Costco Dubai chocolate bars into small, bite-sized pieces; set aside
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cold heavy cream, cold whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until the sugar completely dissolves
  3. Cover the bowl and refrigerate the ice cream base for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to chill thoroughly
  4. Pour the chilled base into your ice cream maker's freezer bowl and churn for 20-30 minutes, or until it reaches a soft-serve consistency, following your machine's instructions
  5. During the last 5 minutes of churning, add the chopped Costco Dubai chocolate bar pieces to the ice cream maker
  6. For an optional chocolate swirl, melt 2 tablespoons of chocolate. Transfer half of the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container, drizzle with half of the melted chocolate, add the remaining ice cream, drizzle with the rest of the melted chocolate, and gently swirl with a knife
  7. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight, freezer-safe container. Press plastic wrap directly onto the surface and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until firm, before serving

Notes

Ensure your ice cream maker's bowl is frozen solid for at least 24 hours and the base is chilled for a minimum of 2 hours, preferably overnight, for the creamiest results.

Use high-quality, full-fat dairy products to achieve the richest and creamiest texture.

Add mix-ins like the chopped chocolate bars during the last 5 minutes of churning to prevent them from sinking or becoming overly crushed.

Store the ice cream in an airtight, shallow container with plastic wrap pressed directly onto the surface to prevent ice crystals and maintain quality for 2-3 weeks.

For best scooping and flavor, allow the ice cream to soften at room temperature for 5-10 minutes before serving.

A no-churn option is possible by whipping heavy cream, folding in sweetened condensed milk, vanilla, and chopped chocolate, then freezing.
