A quick and delicious hot honey glazed salmon featuring a sweet, savory, and spicy sauce with a caramelized crust and tender, flaky interior, perfect for a 25-minute weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

4 6 oz Salmon Fillets
0.25 cup Honey
2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 tablespoon Sriracha
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Ginger, grated fresh
1 tablespoon Lime Juice
1 tablespoon Olive Oil
0.5 teaspoon Salt
0.25 teaspoon Black Pepper
2 tablespoons Fresh Cilantro, chopped
1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds

Instructions

  1. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and black pepper
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, and lime juice to create the glaze
  3. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat on the stovetop
  4. Once the oil is hot, place salmon fillets skin-side down (if applicable) and sear for 3-4 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy
  5. Flip the fillets and pour half of the hot honey glaze over the fish
  6. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 8-12 minutes until the salmon flakes easily. Brush the remaining glaze over the salmon during the last 2 minutes of baking
  7. Remove from the oven, let rest for 2 minutes, and garnish with cilantro and sesame seeds before serving

Notes

Always pat salmon dry to ensure a crispy sear.

Do not overcook; the internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).

Tamari or coconut aminos can be used for a gluten-free version.

The glaze can be prepared up to 3 days in advance.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for 2-3 days and are best reheated gently in the oven at 275°F.
